Zenos Academy Training
"For the young people who didn't want to go to university but who did want a qualification that would lead to a better chance of a career this was a massive problem, one that the LSC solved by making funding available to provide training for school leavers aged 16 to 18."
The Zenos Academy programme was created to meet the needs of these people who wanted to enter the industry with the appropriate IT Support and IT Service qualifications.
It was also aimed at providing employers with access to a pool of talented, trained and motivated young individuals who understand the demands of the world of work and who had the skills, experience and confidence to meet them.
Careers in IT
Typical career paths for graduates of the Zenos Academy programme include:
A great place to learn
You'll find a big difference between a Zenos Academy and school. We treat all our learners as if they were employees - and expect the same from you. It's a great way to learn what you should expect when you enter the real world of work.
Our training programmes are delivered through a variety of methods that include courses, workshops, self-study, one-to-one coaching and mentoring. Each Zenos trainee has their own support group of student liaison officers, technical trainers, and programme facilitators to help them meet their goals.
Funding for Academy Students
Students at our Academies may be fully funded providing they are aged between 16 and 18, and partially funded for older students and school leavers through the Government's Learning and Skills programme.
In addition students will be reimbursed for travelling expenses and, subject to means assessment, may also qualify for Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
