Work Based Learning from Zenos
"Our Work Based Learning programmes are available to people in work at any age between 16 and 60 who meet the qualifying criteria. The majority of programmes are delivered at an employer's premises by Zenos Trainers and Programme Facilitators, with support from Zenos's Student Liaison Officers".
Who qualifies for funding for Work Based Learning programmes?
The Zenos Advanced Apprenticeship may be partially or fully funded for learners aged between 16 and 60 plus, who are already employed in the IT industry in roles including systems support, systems design, customer support, application developer and database developer. The Apprenticeship enables young people to achieve higher-level qualifications and vocational skills relating to their job whilst being employed full-time.
What makes Zenos different from other training providers?
We provide a different approach to IT training. While obtaining a valuable IT qualification and a Level 3 NVQ, Zenos trainees also receive a more rounded programme that encompasses commercial acumen and business skills such as problem solving and communication.
The Advanced Apprenticeship is generally completed within 18 months and is carried out in the workplace, with courses and workshops normally conducted on-site. The programme is delivered through a variety of professional classroom courses, practical workshops, one-to-one coaching, projects, practice and self-study. In order to meet their goals, students are provided with their own support group of student liaison officers, technical trainers, and programme facilitators.
Programme quality is assured by an inspection process that includes assessment, internal verification, external verification (by City&Guilds), and inspections by the Adult Learning Inspectorate. This exhaustive process leads to extremely high confidence levels that the programmes meet the requirements of all the stakeholders.
At the end of the course, students will receive an Advanced Apprenticeship certificate, City&Guilds Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners, City&Guilds NVQ level III certificate, and Key Skills level II certificates and are given the opportunity to gain professional qualifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL.
Unique Solutions to Individual Needs
Zenos employs a wide variety of training delivery styles and methods, including instructor-led training, one-to-one coaching and blended learning with 24/7 mentoring support. This multi-format approach improves the learner's experience and performance and adds to their motivation and commitment to complete the programme.
We pride ourselves on optimising the design of each programme to achieve its stated objectives, using the most appropriate and efficient delivery vehicles to meet the needs of both the learner and your business.
A Commercial Investment
As committed as Zenos is to achieving the highest standards of training and development, we are also aware of the need to balance the investment made by you as the employer with the return your organisation will receive.
Wherever applicable, Zenos will advise on the availability of Government, EU and other funding - and your eligibility for that financial support, indeed Zenos is able to undertake the securing and administration of the funding on our clients' behalf.
In many cases this allows Zenos to provide the highest quality service without you having to pay towards our costs, providing the trainees meet a programme's requirements and are employed within your business under the standard terms and conditions.
